I'm thirteen years old. I believe in the legalization of marijuana. And why shouldn't I? I'm a free citizen of a country which is not America: and I found this page not because I stumbled across it; but because I was looking for it. Many of the people I know think that I'm too young to be involved in political debates such as marijuana. Why not? I'm allowed my own personal beliefs, am I not? Read my reasons below. And if ANYONE can find a reasonable and justable argument as to why any of them are in any way wrong; I'd love to hear from you. If you're involved in politics; tell me what you think about this debate. AND IF YOU AGREE: LET'S MAKE CHANGES TODAY. NOT IN 100 YEARS TIME. NOT IN 10 YEARS TIME. NOT EVEN NEXT YEAR. MY REASONS WHY SHOULD THE GOVERMENT RESTRICT OUR RIGHTS? IT'S OUR BODIES, AND OUR LIVES. WHY SHOULD THE PRISONS BE FILLED WITH HARMLESS POT-SMOKERS WHEN THE PAEDOPHILES, THE RAPISTS AND THE MURDERERS SHOULD BE INSIDE AND YET THEY WALK THE STREET? NO ONE HAS EVER DIED OF CANNABIS - BUT MILLIONS HAVE DIED OF ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO - BUT CANNABIS IS STILL ILLEGAL. WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS THAT THE CONFUSING, PROPAGANDA INFOMATION GIVEN BY THE AUTHORITIES IS NO MORE THAN LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES. WHY DO THEY HAVE TO LIE ABOUT MARIJUANA TO THE YOUTH OF TODAY IF THE CASE FOR KEEPING IT ILLEGAL IS ROCK-SOLID? WE WANT TO KNOW THEIR REAL REASONS - BUT WE ALL KNOW WHY THEY AREN'T GIVING US THEM - BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE. LET'S THROW AWAY THE STUPIDITIES OF THE LAW. LEGALIZE CANNABIS; AND STOP DENYING US OUR RIGHTS. MARIJUANA SMOKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE - IT IS NOT JUST IN THE US, BUT HERE IN BRITAIN BOTH THE LABOUR AND TORY GOVERNMENTS WILL NOT EVEN ALLOW THE ISSUE TO BE DEBATED. IF WE CANNOT EVEN DEBATE THE ISSUE, DO WE HAVE ANY RIGHTS AT ALL? The marijuana issue is only a stepping stone to help us realise just how corrupt and unfair both the US and the UK governments are. I heard somewhere that the US gov have brought in a law to ban all cannabis-related material on the web. Talk about paranoid. The challenge is thus; I want all those who believe in marijuana to stay illegal to contact me. My email address is at the top. I want your reasons I want you to truly justify.
