| I tested hiv+ in june of 1986 while trying to join the marines for a career. In 1992 I was hurt at work and broke my back, had 2 major surgeries for it in 93&94. It was then I found out I was positive for hepc. My wife left me because she didnt want to live with all this, she was pregnant when I yested positive for hiv, but she tested negative and so did my beautiful daughter, thank God. I drank hard for quite a few years trying to escape all the pain, got addicted to pain medicine, nothing worked of course, the only thing that did was get me 5 dui's. Quit drinking in 01. In 05 I was having problems sleeping so doc gave me serequel, which I had a reaction to, blacked out while cooking one night and severely burnt my left forearm and hand, had to amputate the hand, the skin graft they took off my left leg cut thru nerves and muscles that lift my left leg and foot. I say all that to say this, as God as my witness, the only relief I get is when I smoke good marijuana. I took myself off all the pain meds, so that I could go back to school, and get a job, so that I can get off disability, I despise being a burden to society. |

My reasons are or should be obvious. I dont think total legalization is the answer, but total prohibition is rediculous. All that has lead to is overcrowded prisons, which are nothing but schools to learn to break more laws. Alcohol has caused me more misery than I ever will be able to resolve. Alcohol should be in the same class as heoin, meth, cocaine or any other man made disasters that so called chemists and brewers can concoct. My feelings for legal medical marijuana are as strong as my belief in God. I have yet to fail to show up to work or school, or drive out of control and kill someone, or physically harm someone, or rob, cheat, or steal, or get involved in sexual crimes(like alot of our congresspeople) because of smoking a good joint!!! If anything the world is a hell of alot better off with me doing that,(smoking a joint) rather than drinking or doing ellicit drugs. I dare anyone to prove me different. When I smoke, or ingest thc, I relax, think better, get into my work or studies, my nerve pain eases, depression goes away, chronic pain eases up,Legalize it or not, I will go where the people are using their heads and not their asses, and I will probably die one day, very happy, with a smile on my face and a blunt in my hand!! I have instructed my daughter to have a pot party when I pass, and to cremate me, throw the ashes from the party and from me out over the mountains. Thank you terry tomlinson the boogie man |
