This has been a great month. I want to thank you all for your kind words and congratulations! :-) Many people have e-mailed me with their support, and again my belief that we can all work to legalize marijuana is reinforced. and just a reminder... A second page has been added where I can post my links. I have not been able to work on it yet, but I will try to get to it as soon as I can. For now, I will keep the list of sites at the bottom. I have lived in New York all my life, and have been actively pursuing the legalization of cannabis sativa since I was 13 years old(!). I currently write essays and papers to promote marijuana legalization. I also attend rallies and marches with the purpose of marijuana legalization. To win this fight, everyone must do their part to promote legalization. I'm addicted to music--reggae, jazz/acid jazz, folk, hardcore-punk, groove and funk-core. I only play two instruments (guitar and bass guitar)...I love concerts! Like most free-thinkers, I believe in peace, mental independence, and nonconformity. ~ Reasons to Legalize ~

-The risks of smoking marijuana are as many--or fewer--as that of smoking tobacco cigarettes. -Hemp is a resource that is badly needed by this wasting earth. We all know the traditional mantra: "medicine, paper, fiber, fuel". It has been proven the use of hemp, instead of trees, as paper is cheaper AND more efficient--it takes a lot less hemp plants than trees to make a pad of paper. Marijuana can be given to cancer patients as an appetite-inducing drug. Hemp also provides one of the softest, most durable fabrics. These reasons are enough for me. Most of us know the details. PLEASE do not ruin our rights as Americans, and as people. Cannabis is an herb, and when not doctored by harmful drugs, it's nothing more than one of nature's many gifts that we are unfortunately letting go to waste. We have been given the chance to save and nurture our environment... don't let the government ruin this chance.
